As part of Donate Life Month in 2018, Cabarrus County Commissioner Lynn Shue sat down for an extensive interview about his experiences as a two-time organ donation recipient and his over 20 years of service as an elected official with the Cabarrus County Board of Education and the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners.
Lynn died on November 5, 2025. He was 71.
His journey taught him to pay special attention to "what matters most." He spent the last two decades of his life doing just that.
