In this episode Kenwrith tells about his deadly encounter with a dark creature dwelling in the left over ruins of a tower once owned by the great wizard Girard. This creature is a Nothic! Now according to the Dungeons and Dragons 5e players handbook a Nothic is a CR 2 so it's often used as a simple creature to slightly challenge low level parties but in reality Nothics are so much more than that. Along with some nice abilities that can make a low level party soil themselves nothics were created by cursed wizards that were delved too deep into the arcane knowledge, they didn't keep their memories after turning but they are still obsessed with magic. This means they can be open to negation and trade knowledge for magical items. This episode will provide you with a nice story hook and provide the players with enough intrigue to keep the interested, enough information for them to figure it out and enough mystery to keep them guessing!
