What's going on everybody, this is Kyle Federmann and you are listening to the MLM 2 Freedom project and today we're going to be talking about being a pest.
So here's the real question. How do MLMers like you and I grow a profitable home business without desperately begging our friends and families to join us but still be able to recruit extraordinary team members and create the freedom to enjoy the lives we're trying to build. That's the big question and this podcast is where you will get the answer. My name is Kyle Federmann and welcome to the MLM 2 Freedom Project.
What's going on guys? I hope everything is going well and going swell. As you can probably tell my, um, that was a rhyme, but as you can probably tell my microphone, most likely sounds a heck of a lot better because I actually just got one in the mail, which is another reason why I have not been so active because I've been so pumped. I'm waiting for this thing to come in so I could get some better quality. Sound out to you guys because that I kind of am a sound junkie, but at the same time I just wanted to get the podcast started so people who were like their early adopters could get started and get running, um, and on the ground quick and in other good news. Um, I actually just finished the funnel for this Mlm to freedom bootcamp and what the bootcamp does.
Obviously I've gone into it before, but I, I kind of walked through, um, I walked people through the actual process of building a sales funnel or like finding leads online and I actually walked people through the process of growing their mlm online because obviously people don't want to see your posts on facebook all the time and they don't want it to you to come up to them randomly walking on the street and they don't want you coming to family parties and reunions and all how all the holidays. Like bugging them like, Hey, you should buy my product. Hey, you should join my team. Blah Blah Blah. Like nobody enjoys that. And if you're in the same boots I am, you actually don't enjoy that either. And that's actually kind of a nice tie in to the topic today and the topic today is being a pest.
So as you guys most likely know, I also, uh, invest in real estate on the side and I do it because essentially what I'm doing is I'm taking all the money from my mom and I'm dumping it in whenever I make a significant chunk of cash or like every month or so I'll take money and I'll dump it into a real estate investing account so then I can invest the money and grow it. It's just one of the. Instead of investing in the stock market, I like to do real estate because it's something I can control and I feel a little bit better doing it. But the reason why I got on the topic of real estate is because were on my coaching call with my mentor. I have a mentor, I'm for real estate. I have a mentor for mom, I have a mentor for sales marketing and I'm trying to find one for like more personal development life development.
I actually have a mentor for um, fitness, so I wake up and I go to the gym at 4:00 AM every single day and I just think it's important to have a mentor or a coach or somebody that can hold you accountable and make sure you're sticking to your guns and doing what you're actually promising. So we're on the call the other night and he mentioned a really insanely smart marketer. I might have mentioned him on this podcast before, but if not, I'm here. It goes. His name is Dan Kennedy. He's been in the online marketing niche and realm and the direct marketing, direct response marketing and direct response marketing as opposed to normal. Like Mcdonald's type marketing is you get a response from the consumer or from your buyer, whoever is looking to join your down line and you get them and you figure out like why they are not actually joining or why they're not buying.
And this is called direct response marketing. So Dan Kennedy, my real estate coach and mentor, he is a big Dan Kennedy Fan because Dan Kennedy obviously just teach the straight up marketing. He doesn't teach it for any specific niche or whatever, but he teaches straight up marketing and I believe he does it in real estate also in my mentor actually is a big student of him and some of the marketers I follow. And so whenever somebody mentioned something Dan Kennedy has said, I perked my ears up and I listened because I know whatever I'm about to hear a straight gold. So he started talking about how when we are marketing to sellers, when we're trying to buy their house, um, because we market to them so I can buy houses at sometimes the discounted rate, but I, it's too deep to go into that. But I, I tried to do some creative financing type stuff to get houses so I don't have to pay what an investor pays and I can pay more.
But anyway, we don't have to get into that. But when we were marketing to sellers is. But what he started talking about was Dan Kennedy said one time he always timed blocks and I do, I started doing this too. Um, it's, it's going to be part of my routine for the new year. I'm going to time block, so I have like one hour set aside during the day to answer emails and answer questions and answer people because I've been getting a horde of facebook friend requests and messages, like asking questions about this stuff. And guys, I, I, I don't hate it. But it's freaking awesome that you guys are so interested in this. And I'm so excited to be actually like helping you guys. But if I focus on emails and answering questions and messages all day, I can't actually market my own business. So I have to time block.
And basically Dan Kennedy, he explains that he timed blocks in every single hour of the day is set to do something. So during this specific hour, that day he, he was eating lunch and he was just eating lunch and he, it's like his quiet time to kind of think and meditate and just eat and enjoy and not have to worry about work or anything. And one day he thought like he has raving fans and everybody who come to his house and like knock on his door and one day somebody came and knocked on his door and he didn't answer because he doesn't answer because obviously it's time blocked. Like, Hey, I cannot move out of this. Otherwise it will screw up my entire routine for this day. And I'm not saying you guys gotta do this kind of stuff. It's a little on the crazy side, but I think it works if you do the time blocking and everything well enough.
But he doesn't answer his door during those certain times that he's locked in and he has his own like personal free time. So he didn't answer the door. A couple of seconds later the guy starts banging on the door again, like even louder. Any. He's like, why in the heck is this person still banging on my door? And then he said again, like a couple minutes later, the doorbell ringing like crazy. Just imagine like the doorbell just going off, just Ding Dong, Ding Dong, Ding Dong. And then shortly after that he's banging again, just bang on the door and eventually the guy stops banging and this guy is considered a pest. This is what I would consider myself when I first got started in an Mlm when I was bugging my friends and family. Um, you guys may be in the same boat. You guys might be considered pests to them.
So a couple seconds, 20, 30 seconds later, a minute later the guy comes, somebody comes around the house and he started banging on the back of the door, like just pounding on the back of the door on the back window, right where he's sitting. And he turns around and he's like, why the heck is the neighbor banging on my door? And he opens the door and the neighbor says, dude, your sheds on fire. So if you get where I'm coming from with this, this guy went from being a complete pest to becoming a welcomed guest. I hope you guys are getting this. I mean it's it. It's so profound to me when he actually told me that story of Dan Kennedy. Obviously it's a story of a story, but the idea of it is you want to find a way in marketing to stopping a pest, stop begging your friends and family and stop pitching.
Everybody you see on your product. You have to become a welcomed guest instead of being a pest. So some of the ways I actually do that. Some of you guys may have may have found this podcast through my marketing that I farmed you guys from a facebook group where essentially what I did was I said, hey, I want to help blow up your mlm business, which I know I can do and I will send you this free pdf to help you maximize social media strategies to market. I think it's called like the five steps to social media domination for Mlm. And essentially I send that link to them and then it has a joined the facebook group, like I mentioned on one of the previous podcast, I have a facebook group that I go live in almost every day. Um, it gets difficult sometimes, like I was sick over the holidays and stuff, so I didn't get to go live all the time.
And just recently it's been so hectic with my mlm business, real estate and then all kinds of other stuff. I'm training people at work and stuff like that. But what I do is I went from being a pest. So in these groups, everybody's posting their links and posting like, Hey, join me, join me, buy my product, buy my product. And I went from being one of those people to actually standing out and saying, Hey, I will help you grow your mom because obviously I'm not trying to blow up or I'm not. I'm not trying to get them to join me. Just like I'm not trying to get you guys to join me on this podcast. I'm trying to get them to actually join my group or listen to my podcast. So I can help them grow their business so I can get testimonials and eventually get them to buy my products just like I want you guys do because I know my products work.
I'm not trying to pitch you on them, but I'm just saying like, that's one of the lead gens to get you in the door and stop being a pest to becoming a welcomed guest. And I want you guys to think about that. So like if you're in supplements, if you're in health and wellness, what can you do, especially with the new year, can you do like a 30 day challenge to get somebody in the door and stopping a pest and get them to being a welcomed guest? Um, could you go from, could you give them a four week workout plan to go from a pest to becoming a welcomed guest? And that's all I wanted to come on here. And, uh, talk to you guys about today because it was really profound to me the different marketing techniques you can use to get people's attention and get your foot in the door and become a welcomed guest to actually pitch them and get invited to pitch them.
That's all I had for today guys. I hope you found a ton of value with this podcast. If you guys have any questions, let me know. Shoot me an email at support at Mlm, the number two freedom project.com and I can actually shoot you the link to join the facebook group and all, as always, I'd love for you guys to check out the mom to freedom bootcamp. I've been building these videos like crazy in there. Um, it's probably two hours worth of actual video content. So I'm like super pumped to actually be getting this done and I'm going to start diving into some of the content that's on that as well as diving into some other stuff that I'm doing to grow my mom. So that's all I got. If you guys have any questions, like I said, leave a review rate, subscribe, whatever you got to do to make this podcast stand out from everybody else's. I hope it's working. Let me know if it's not and I'll talk to you guys soon. Bye.
