Rotterdam based Pole Richu M is the man behind our latest release, his gorgeous EP of loungey sample-heavy noodly grooves known as 'Philistines 4 & The Giant Banoush' also providing the artwork for this and our last few releases, creating IRL paintings and developing a tasty live set with releases elsewhere coming on Astropical and Young Adults. This mix is a journey through his crazed artist's mind, 100% unreleased and mostly unsigned sketches and jams. Displaying his strength for arrangement, melody, top crate digging and warm-yet-scuzzy production, it's a beautiful listen.

*How would you describe your sound?*

Not "house" enough to play at club, too "housy" for home listening. 

*What and who inspires you and influences your sound?* 

 

I prefer very diverse music - it's supposed to be good for the brain. 

When it comes to the (let's say) current club scene, I have my favorites, which inevitably inspire me: Tartelet recs, Lagaffe Tales, Yappin, Jazz Cabbage, Studio Barnhus, Apron recs, m$r (rip), Ava recs, Sex Tags and more...

*Can you tell us a little about this mix and what it means to you?*

The mix is a selection of my unreleased tracks from the years 2014-2019. Digging in these (sometimes) forgotten tunes, became a very emotional journey. A lot of memories: different places, people, parties, moods and situations in general.
