Few can forget the award-winning film about a friendship between an alien and a young boy that melted hearts of an entire generation and cemented Steven Spielberg’s place in American cinema. But many forgot this film which is almost exactly the same! “E.T.” might have had Spielberg, engaging subtext and Drew Barrymore but “Mac and Me” has uglier aliens, an unbelievable McDonalds dance-off and magical Coca-Cola.
