"I was intrigued by the snippets of speech and coffee machine noises - there's something very global and universal about them. I wanted to decontextualise them into a Glass / Reich kind of setting. "Koyaanisqatsi" crossed my mind, as did "Different Trains". Ebow was abused. Aside from electric guitar, all the other sounds are sampled or processed from the field recording."
