There are two types of fiber: insoluble and soluble
Insoluble keeps stools regular by adding bulk
soluble fiber lowers cholesterol levels and helps improve blood glucose control
There are many sources of sugar but not all are dense
soluble fiber attracts water and turns to gel during digestion which slows digestion
Insoluble fiber helps food pass quickly through the stomach and intestines
