Dietary fats gives you energy, support's cell growth, helps protect organs, keeps body warm, helps absorb nutrients, and make hormones.
Four types of dietary fat:
Saturated fat
Trans fat
Monosaturated fat
Polyunsaturated fat
The first two are bad
The last two are good
The first to raise your cholesterol levels were as the last to lower it
There are 9 calories per gram across all forms of fats
It's more energy dense than protein and carbs they only provide 4 calories per gram
