During two weeks in 1944, the small town of Matton, Illinois would fall under the paralyzing fear of a creature or madman capable of releasing a sickly sweet gas into their homes. The victims would become unable to move and at the complete mercy of the assailant.

The mystery was never solved and many of the local government would claim that it never happened.
