Today’s guest is someone who truly knows the highs and lows of chasing big dreams on the slopes ,we’re talking about the seriously cool and calm Madi Hoffman.
Madi’s an Aussie alpine skier who’s taken a pretty unique and unpredictable path through the world of competitive skiing. She grew up on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, spent time living in Singapore, and eventually made her way to the U.S., where she came up through the college circuit and battled it out on the National Collegiate , NorAm and then, crossed the pond to take on the icy chaos of the European ski circuit.
But it hasn’t all been smooth turns and podium finishes. Madi’s dealt with some major injuries, including one that forced her to miss the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. In this episode, she gets real about what it’s like to go through multiple recoveries, and the resilience it takes to return to snow on her terms.
It’s an honest, open chat about how the sport that broke her down is also helping her rebuild. We dive into what it means to fall back in love with the process, to rise under pressure, and to learn how to truly trust yourself again, not just on race day, but every day. This one’s all about resilience, identity, and the kind of strength that can’t be measured in the gym.
