After a full year of being college roommates, I was finally able to get Jake on the podcast. We both live different lives from each other across the country now, but are united in Christ. He shares how his upbringing impacted him early on. As he grew older, his decisions led to a way of life that he found unsuitable long-term. It eventually led to a change of heart and a relationship with Christ that he shares today.

Harper Houk is a Student-Athlete from Knoxville, Tennessee. He is a 5 year member of the GCU Swim and Dive Team. With his grad-season just finishing up he now entering a new phase of life. Competitive swim is now over, but he’s looking forward to what God is preparing for him. Harper Shares his testimony, we talk sports, retirement, GCU life, and more.

Brooks Micheals is a GCU Track and Field Athlete who specializes in throws—a teammate and friend of mine whose testimony is both encouraging and inspiring. Like many athletes, his faith journey comes with setbacks and character-building moments. As we get to know Brooks, we learn that faith in Jesus Christ is the only thing that truly matters in this life.

From August of 2022 to May of 2023 I attended Bethune Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida. Bethune Cookman is an HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and University). HBCU's were originally founded to give African-Americans the opportunity to attend college when segregation barred them from doing so. I was able to attend Bethune Cookman as a member of the Track and Cross Country team. Erin and I talk about my experience, campus life, pros and cons, and Erin's work as an influencer.
