After the Fall, harmony was broken, damaging the God-bestowed dignity and honor in all relationships, most acutely in that of men and women, husbands and wives. Singles are marginalized; the married live without transparency; sex, once a gift, has now become a sport or a weapon; power has a tendency to be abused. But Jesus teaches us to live a better way, reclaiming dignity and honor in the new kingdom, calling people to receive our message as good news in the community of faith.
