“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with

all your soul and with all your mind.” Matthew 22:37

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.

Romans 12:1

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul

and with all your mind and with all your strength.” Mark 12:30

Love Him thoughtfully: worship is focusing my attention on God

“You have searched me, LORD, and you know me. 2 You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. 3 You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. 4 Before a word is on my tongue you, LORD, know it completely. Psalm 139:1-3

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:1-2

Love Him passionately: worship is expressing my affection to God

“We love Him, because He first loved us.” 1John 4:19 (KJV)

Love Him practically: worship is using my abilities for God

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord…”

Colossians 3:23a

“Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering.” Romans 12:1 (Msg)
