When did we go from staying out late to getting excited about canceled plans and being home by 9:30?

In this episode of Madres & Desmadres, we’re laughing about the moment we realized we’ve officially entered our señora era! From sounding just like our mothers and embracing our new habits to debating what actually counts as señora behavior, we’re sharing funny stories, embarrassing confessions, and plenty of relatable moments.

But it’s not just about getting older. We’re also talking about how our priorities change, the boundaries we learn to set, and finding comfort in who we are instead of who we thought we’d be.

Because maybe becoming a señora isn’t about getting older… it’s about finally becoming comfortable with yourself.

¿Y tú, Madre? When did you realize you’d become a señora?

Nobody has this shit figured out. We’re just doing our best, one desmadre at a time!

And remember Madres, nobody has this shit figured out.  We're just doing our best, one desmadre at a time.

Ever overthink everything, lose your patience over something tiny, or fantasize about hiding in the bathroom just to get five minutes of peace? Girl, same.

In this episode of Madres & Desmadres, we’re bringing in a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) to help us unpack mom madness mode—the mental load, mom guilt, constant worrying, feeling overwhelmed, and why sometimes everyone talking at once is enough to send us over the edge.

From hilarious mom confessions and “Is this normal, Doc?” moments to real questions from overwhelmed madres, we’re getting honest about what motherhood does to our minds and how we can give ourselves a little grace.

Because sometimes we’re not crazy… we’re just carrying 20 things in our heads at once.

¿Y tú, Madre? Are you overwhelmed, overthinking, or just ready for five minutes of silence?

Remember, Madres… nobody has this shit figured out. We’re just doing our best, one desmadre at a time!

What happens when your kid has Homecoming… but Mom has a concert?  In this episode of Madres & Desmadres, we’re talking about the guilt that comes with making plans for ourselves while raising kids.

From Homecoming and those “firsts” that feel so important, to concerts, girls’ nights, travel, and simply having a life outside of motherhood, we’re asking: Can moms choose themselves without feeling guilty?

We get real about mom guilt, kids growing up, learning to let go, and the reminder that being a good mom doesn’t mean giving up who you are.

Because sometimes choosing yourself doesn’t mean choosing your kids less.

¿Y tú, Madre? What would you do?

    Same Madres, new desmadre.

Before kids, we had plans… and then motherhood had other plans for us.

In this episode of Madres & Desmadres, the three comadres take a trip down memory lane to talk about who they were before motherhood, the moms they thought they would become, and the reality that came with raising kids.

From pregnancy surprises, sleepless newborn nights, toddler tantrums, and homework struggles to teenagers who challenge everything you thought you knew about parenting, we share the stories, laughs, and lessons that came along the way.

We talk about the things we swore we’d never do as moms, the parts of our old selves we miss, becoming a “mama bear,” breaking generational patterns, and the things we believe we actually got right—being present, listening to our kids, showing affection, and learning to grow alongside them.

And in true Madres & Desmadres fashion, there’s plenty of laughter, embarrassing mom confessions, a little desmadre, and a reminder that nobody has this shit figured out.

So grab your cafecito—or your wine—and join us for another conversation about motherhood, life, and all the shit nobody warned us about.

And remember Madres, nobody has this shit figured out.  We're just doing our best, one desmadre at a time.

  • So...Who Let Us Start a Podcast?

So… Who Let Us Start a Podcast?

    Well… we did.

In our very first episode of Madres & Desmadres, you’re officially meeting the three women behind the microphones. We’re telling you how we met, how our friendship came together, where the name Madres & Desmadres came from, and why we decided it was a good idea to start a podcast in the first place.

We get into why we chose a Spanish name and what “desmadre” means to us and to the crazy lives we’re living. Then things get a little more personal with our “Who Knows the Comadre?” game, where we find out just how well we actually know each other.

Of course, we couldn’t start a podcast without talking about the madres part—motherhood, the things it has taught us, the things nobody warned us about, and the parts we can finally laugh about.

We’re also getting real about why we started this podcast, what we’ll be talking about, and what you can expect from us—motherhood, relationships, friendship, getting older, work, body changes, everyday life, and all the beautiful chaos in between.

So pull up a chair, grab your cafecito—or your wine—and hang out with us.

    Welcome to Madres & Desmadres.
