wonderful
Another gem in the Charlie Muffin series. Freemantle is one of the all time greats. I even found myself putting aside a Michael Connelly in order to stick with Madrigal to the end. The story is told with great economy and skill, just pulling you rapidly and effortlessly along, with cutting suspense and real caring for the very human and brilliant Charlie. gcm
A very enjoyable book
I liked it very much. I plan to read all the Charlie Muffin novels.
Great series
Well-done spy series
Freemantle Scores Again
An excellent thriller featuring Douglas Freemantle's likeable but irracible spy, Charlie Muffin. Good for those of you who are tired of murky international terrorist plots and long for the clear-cut days when the Soviet Union was still the Free World's number one foe. Charlie Muffin is a thinking man's spy, a unique character who a reader can root for and believe in. Note: my dad also enjoyed this novel.
The Blind Run, Charlie M, Charlie Muffin USA, and Madrigal for Charlie Muffin
I have been a Freemantle fan for several years. I stumbled across his work on Amazon and am currently working my way thru the entire Charlie Muffin series.
