Our adventurers arrive at Maerin, a charming mountain town. They meet two survivors of Vermeillon, who paint a creepy picture of the accident and ensuing disappearances that happened seventy years ago. Even so, Lovelace, Quidam and Manfred, joined by prospector Renwyn Fiagle, head further into the mountains in search of this platinum mine.
