“Active” does not quite capture the work of Felicito Sacdalan, whose tireless efforts as a musician, music teacher, and conductor of numerous ensembles have recently earned him a Hiyas Award—among several other recognitions throughout his career. On MAESTRO FILIPINO, Sacdalan talks about helping communities through music, steering his various groups through the pandemic, and more. We also hear music performed by the Hiyas ng Bulacan Provincial Band. the Jose Depiro Kabataan Orkestra, the St. Scholastica's College Wind Orchestra, and Sacdalan himself.
