A deep intimacy with rondalla music, and a decades-long composing career—for Dr. Jocelyn Marfil, these recently flowered in the collection of folk song arrangements and new works, entitled Likha Rondalya. Initially written for the UP Rondalla, the book was publicly launched for the benefit of the repertoire at large. Dr. Marfil joins DZFE’s Daniel to talk about the origins of Likha Rondalya, what went into writing her music, and more.
