Through three decades of raising a family and mentoring students, pianist Rowena Arrieta has not forgotten her own teachers—especially Carmencita Arambulo. She expressed her gratitude with the album, Piano Favorites, released as a present for Arambulo who recently celebrated her 85th birthday. Arrieta talks us through the music in Piano Favorites, and some of the lessons she learned from her teachers that she now passes on to her own students, on this edition of MAESTRO FILIPINO.
