Another good read of Bonnie Johnston
I liked this easy to read story, which kept my interest, and always ready to pick it up. As in her other book, The Dark Side of the Mountain, it gave me a more and clear insight of the very early days of our country, and how the families lived and survived. Maggie, another strong woman.
Great read.
Loved this book. Easy read. Maggie Ward was my 5th great grandmother. I've heard family tales, but this book brought her to life.
I really enjoyed it!

My only wish was to be able to see the genealogy citations that led to the book.
