Do you know or have you been a woman who has been stuck in a painful relationship? I think at one point or another we have all had the not-so pleasurable experience of being in a relationship that was emotionally abusive. We could have been on either side of that equation: the abused or the abuser, or both. But Kelli Kintzel not only experienced leaving this type of relationship after 20 years, she also found her way out of an on going barrage of circumstances for most of her life including having drug addicts as parents, having to be in foster care from 11-18, being molested and raped, losing her brother to suicide, her best friend in a strange, surprising death, having to get two college degrees to be able to find work, losing her aunt who had become a mother to her and her husband almost committing suicide when she kept her boundaries in the relationship. Kelly found her way to happiness by learning about herself, standing up for herself, becoming a nurse and a skydiver. She leaned on friends and family and today she will tell her story in hopes that it will help someone else out there gather the courage to recreate their life out of hell to a place they love.
