Chris has achieved so much in his life and yet when I ask him what his dreams and aspirations were in his adolescence, he says honestly, that he never really had any, he just doesn't remember thinking that way. What I'm finding through the thousands of hours I spend asking people questions of introspection, is that Chris is not rare in this way. Many of the people I speak to that have impacted others and themselves greatly, they often just had a simple vision to enjoy life. Chris goes on to say that new ideas come when we give our minds time to wonder - taking time off from being busy, allowing ourselves the space to be creative has to come before you can create anything successfully. It's clear we should spend more time in this place without the pressure of thinking about impact and change but instead building an authentic passion for life. This is a maturity that is visible to me in all genuine leaders. I don't mean a maturity of age, instead a maturity that presents itself in the way of wisdom. We give that passion a vehicle to travel in, such as a cause or a project, of which we become emotionally invested in. Chris talks about the dangers of this in the way that we can become tunnel visioned. I know I can relate to this with regards letting go of or changing something I've created that I hold dear to my heart. This is where head and heart are invaluable when they work together. Chris has an amazing psychology with that piece specifically. Chris has experienced much success in his head and heart, practically and emotionally and in my opinion is definitely qualified to support and guide others to do the same.
