UDYOGA PARVA

The Mahabharata is the longest-known epic poem and has been described as “The longest poem ever written”. Its longest version consists of over 100,000 shlokas or over 200,000 individual verse lines (each shloka is a couplet), and long prose passages.

In the podcast which follows, we get a thrilling account of the greatest war of ancient times, probably occuring 5000 years ago in Ancient India.

A rigid moral code governs all the epic fights, each day of the battle beginning with the formal blowing of conchs and stoppage of battle by sunset.

Just before the war starts, Sri Krishna expounds 'The Bhagavad Gita' which is a masterly exposition of Sanatana-Dharma, the eternal Truth.
