When she arrives in Oklahoma, events take an unexpected turn when she finds an abandoned Indian baby in the fields. Unable to leave the child to the elements and dangers of the wild, she takes him in and immediately falls in love with him.
But will her new husband allow that and treat him as his son? Will the Indians and the ranchers leave each other alone now that Levi has a home?
A charming, poignant love story with unique innocence, bursting with passion and just the right amount of tenderness from the hand of Emma Ashwood.
Members Reviews:
I liked the concept
The plot was too simplistic and it felt more a simplistic rough draft. The author needs to work on character development. She could also benefit from research into the Indians in the area where she places her story. I liked the concept. It just needs a lot of flesh on the bones.
Voracious Reader
Great story, enjoyed every moment of this book . It was great that two ethnic backgrounds could come together for the sake of one baby. Loved this book.
Four Stars
A quick read--good for a lazy day at the beach. Predictable but heartwarming.
