Without the exposure of schoolboy rugby, many matrics of 2020 find themselves without a clear path towards their dream of playing professional rugby. Rugby unions should be concerned about missing out on talented player. A simple way to counter this is for Rugby Unions to hold open trials for players who matriculated in 2020.  Dr Dup and Jason discuss if it is a good idea for unions to hold open trials and how it would need to be organised to have the widest reach possible.
