We start our brief discussion with the importance of having a white person on the frontlines of issues and how beneficial that is to advancing cultural policy issues. We also discuss the impact the hip hop culture and BLM had on the 2016 Presidential race, while highlighting how their efforts are mirroring the “Occupy Wall Street movement” - by not clarifying their policy goals on the campaign trail.
