What happens when the life you worked so hard to build starts asking more of you than you want to keep giving?
In this episode of Mainly Coaching, I’m talking about the difference between being capable and actually having the capacity to keep carrying everything. We’ll look at why so many of us respond to overwhelm by trying to become more productive, more organized, or more efficient, when the real question may be whether something still belongs in the life we’re building.
We’ll talk about the roles we take on, the pressure of being the dependable one, and why “I can do this” is not always the same as “I want to keep doing this.”
If you’ve been feeling stretched thin, questioning what still fits, or wondering whether you’re allowed to want something different, this conversation is for you.
Coach K’s question for this episode:
What are you still carrying simply because you know you can?

Growth knows no limits.
Episode 38: Starting Again Without Starting Over
After more than a year away from the microphone, I’m back.
In this episode of Mainly Coaching, I’m sharing what this season of my life has been teaching me about starting something new without throwing away everything that came before it. Coaching is still a huge part of who I am. I’ve added mediation, stepped into real estate, and realized that these paths are not competing with each other. They are different ways I can use the skills and experience I’ve built over the years to help people navigate change.
We talk about what it feels like to be a beginner again, why starting something new does not mean starting from zero, how confidence changes as we get older, and why the experience from one chapter often becomes exactly what we need for the next.
If you are considering a career change, a new relationship, a move, a business idea, or simply wondering whether there is more waiting for you, this conversation is for you.
A question to take with you:
What would you be willing to become a beginner at if you stopped telling yourself that beginning again meant starting from zero?
Your next chapter starts with you.
Growth knows no limits.

How has failure impacted your journey? Often seen as negative, failure is actually vital for growth. Embracing it can lead to incredible learning opportunities and success. When I started as a coach, I thought I needed all the answers. I was wrong! Life's beauty lies in its unpredictability, and each person's journey is unique.
I've seen many people, including myself, stay stuck in fear of making the wrong decision. Embracing the concept of failing forward can lead to a more fulfilling, purpose-aligned life.
As I record this from my favorite campground in Western Maine, I reflect on how failing forward has led me here. Despite two divorces, a job I hated, selling my house to get out of debt, and more, I’m grateful for these experiences. They’ve taught me that failing forward is better than wondering "what if."
I want to share some strategies to help you turn setbacks into success:
Practical exercises to help you fail forward include reflective journaling, creating a failure resume, and taking on a failure challenge.
Share your stories of failing forward on our social media platforms or podcast community. We may feature your story in an upcoming episode.
To recap, failing forward means embracing failure as a learning opportunity. Thank you for tuning in to Mainly Coaching. Remember, growth knows no limits. Join us next week for another inspiring episode. Until then, keep pushing forward and turn setbacks into stepping stones.
