The State and Counties of Hawaii will draw new voting district maps this year -- and we need to make sure they are fair and representative for everyone in the state and counties.

Right now, the Hawaii State, Honolulu County, and Hawaii County redistricting commissions are preparing to draw voting districts that will represent us for the next decade.

We need these mapmakers to be as transparent as possible about this process -- and we need them to prioritize hearing from communities who have been historically left out of the redistricting process.

These maps will determine who we can elect to represent us at the federal, state, and county levels and what resources our communities receive for the next ten years. That’s why it’s so important that these maps give all of us a fair say.
