What did you think of todays' episode?

Collaborating with my friend, LaToya, we discuss two racially motivated riots in the US--Wilmington Coup and Black Wall Street (Tulsa Riot)--and how they still have lasting impacts on what is happening in today's society in the US. The reason history is so important is because if we don't understand what has happened, we can't process current social situations and the climate of what is happening now. By examining how history has been taught in this country--either willfully leaving out information, or just not knowing things happened--we can understand the current climate better for all of humanity. 

While this is long, it is a tough conversation that needs to be had. It was a delight to have LaToya not only come on my podcast, but to share her own stories, including how all children need to make it home.
