Make Life Simple Again, Part 1

Listen Later

Apostle Wall reminds us that God’s perfection is here and now. Healing isn’t pending — it’s present. The Lord said, “Take the bandaid off.” Stop rehearsing what He already restored.

Then we go deeper: “Make life simple again.”

Love God. Love people. Fear Him. Obey Him. That’s it. The simpler your obedience, the stronger your peace.

No more overthinking. No more forcing doors open.

Delay isn’t denial — it’s direction.

And peace? That’s your confirmation.

Watch this until the end — the atmosphere will shift in your home, your heart, and your habits.

Here are the author's notes from this week's message:

Make Life Simple Again Part 1

35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Matthew 22:35-39 KJV

*- Jesus reduced all the Law and Prophets (Old Testament) to love—God first, people second. Simplicity begins with order.

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

Ecclesiastes 12:13 KJV

*- When Solomon—the wisest man to live—reached the end of all his reasoning, he concluded that life’s purpose is stunningly simple: fear God and obey Him.

*- Every pursuit, question, and accomplishment outside of that leads to frustration.

*- Simplicity in life begins when reverence for God’s Word replaces selfishness and obedience replaces opinions.

He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God?

Micah 6:8 (AMPC)

*- God’s expectations are simple—justice, kindness, mercy, and humility. Complication begins when we add to what God requires.

9 But concerning brotherly love [for all other Christians], you have no need to have anyone write you, for you yourselves have been [personally] taught by God to love one another.

10 And indeed you already are [extending and displaying your love] to all the brethren throughout Macedonia. But we beseech and earnestly exhort you, brethren, that you excel [in this matter] more and more,

11 To make it your ambition and definitely endeavor to live quietly and peacefully, to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we charged you,

*- Simple living: Focus on being quiet and peaceful with others. Avoid meddling. Do your own work.

*- How do these actions simplify life?

12 So that you may bear yourselves becomingly and be correct and honorable and command the respect of the outside world, being dependent on nobody [self-supporting] and having need of nothing.

1 Thessalonians 4:9-12 AMPC

*- bear yourself: to regulate one's life, to conduct oneself

*- When you simplify your life, people will automatically respect and honor your debt-free lifestyle.

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

Romans 13:8 KJV

Lifework Assignment:

*- The Law of Subtraction can be applied to any life that’s not experiencing the joy of simplicity.

*- What is your takeaway concerning your life right now?

*- The key takeaway concerning my life right now is that I need to take away nonessentials from my life right now.

*- Prayerfully ask the Holy Spirit to help you make a list of what you need to subtract from your life right now. Then, ask God for the wisdom to do it in love, especially if it involves people.

Expected Behavior:

“I don’t need that.”

“I will not major on the minors.”

“If I have to think too hard about adding it to my life, having it will take away my peace, so no thank you.”

“If I have to force it, it’s not from God.”

“Peace is my confirmation.”

“Delay is not denial; it’s direction.”

“I don’t need to understand everything to obey God.”
