Make Peace With Life Podcast #016 – Manifesting Basics
Manifesting sounds mysterious, but maybe we make it more complicated than it needs to be.
In this episode of the Make Peace With Life Podcast, we break down the basics of manifesting, take another look at what we mean when we talk about ghosts, and explore the idea of living a 1% Improvement Life.
Manifesting isn’t making a wish, placing an order with the universe, and waiting for it to magically appear at your front door.
You have to participate.
Manifesting is about setting your attention, creating a vision for what you want, and then taking action to move yourself in that direction.
We talk about some of the tools people use when manifesting, including visualization and vision boards, positive affirmations, meditation, gratitude, and speaking your goals out loud.
But the most important part may be what happens next: taking action.
Act as if what you want is possible. Apply for the opportunity. Save the money. Get out there. Take the first step.
Stop waiting for the genie to appear.
Manifesting isn't just about thinking about the life you want. It's about participating in creating it.
Take small steps every day, have patience, and keep moving toward what you want.
Then we revisit a question we've explored before: What exactly is a ghost?
Is a ghost the traditional spirit of someone who has died? Could it be a loved one checking in through a dream, smell, object, or strange coincidence?
Maybe ghosts are residual energy — echoes from the past that somehow remain connected to a person or place.
Could there be intelligent spirits capable of interacting with us? Can energy become connected to objects such as dolls, cars, pictures, watches, or other personal belongings?
Or could some ghosts simply be memories?
Maybe our minds replay people and experiences from our past so vividly that, in a sense, those people continue to live with us.
We also look at places commonly associated with ghost stories — battlefields, castles, hospitals, and old homes — while considering another possibility: maybe sometimes our brains are simply playing tricks on us.
And, of course, there's always the playful explanation for the keys that moved or that sock that mysteriously disappeared.
Whether ghosts are spirits, memories, energy, tricks of the mind, or something we don't yet understand, perhaps the bigger question is what we do with the ghosts of our own past.
Sometimes making peace with life means making peace with our ghosts, too.
Life doesn't move in a perfectly straight line.
Some days you gain ground. Some days you lose ground. Sometimes you suddenly realize you're traveling down the wrong path and need to recalculate your route.
That's part of growth.
Instead of chasing perfection, what if you simply tried to improve yourself by 1% at a time?
Some days your energy and focus will be high. Other days they'll be low. That's normal.
Growth isn't always comfortable, and it doesn't always look like progress while you're experiencing it.
The goal isn't to become perfect.
The goal is to keep showing up, keep learning, keep adjusting your route, and keep evolving into your own version of a better life.
