Getting to know Elizabeth
I got the audiobook which made it easy for me to listen while I was cooking, cleaning and doing whatever. It was really nice to know that Elizabeth was actually the one narrating it which made it even more lovely. I did enjoy listening to the special moments in her life. The only highlight I would say is that you do get to know her dogs behavior as she speaks about them a lot. That could be a good or bad thing. Overall I would suggest this book if you really see her as one of your favorites authors and you want to get to know the simple highlights of her life
A treasure trove of excellent writing
When I see an Elizabeth Berg posting on Facebook I stop what I've doing and read the entire post, no matter how long it is or what it's about. I love her writing that much. To have an entire book full of her Facebook posts is a true joy for me.

Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful! I keep this by my bed so I can pick it up anytime, open it to any page and read something perfect for the moment. I love it. I have the sequel as well and I do the same with it, plus there are recipes......These will make perfect gifts and I think I'll give them with a Cranberry/Orange Cake. Oh, so nice to have my Christmas gifts already decided.....Now I get to pick the lucky people I'll give them to.

There is just no one who can write like Elizabeth Berg! I've enjoyed each of her books throughout the years and this is no exception. I ordered two of these books (one for me and one for a friend) without even reading what it was about, and it's an absolute delight. The fun thing about "Make Someone Happy" is that you can pick it up, read a quick posting entry, and stop right there ... or put it aside and be on your way. I love that you don't have to start at the beginning; you can open it to any posting and still enjoy a quick read or several. A great little book of lovely writings for today's busy lifestyle!

Like all Elizabeth's novels, this one is full of insight, writing that makes you nod your head and smile, and makes it hard to stop reading. Her books make you feel better about yourself.
