When you express love for someone two things happens. One they accept you offer and love you back. Option 2, they reject your love. But this is interesting. They still feel good that someone desired them. They still feel like they were included. It is partially at your expense because you feel rejected. But in a life of service, this is a small price to pay. In fact the rejection, can teach you self love and strength. 

So if you look at it right, you can win no matter what when you pitch your offers.
