What does it mean to intentionally design your work, curriculum, education, staff training, or company culture around creating expert learners? What is variability? Did you know you can see it and it’s invisible? What if you had a framework that could do all of the heavy lifting of making sure whatever material or knowledge you put in the world had the absolute best chance of making an impact (without you constantly needing to hand-hold or revise)? What if you knew how the brain learned and could design your education to optimize for it? And what if there was a system that automatically increased accessibility and equity in learning? 

That’s Universal Design for Learning (UDL). About Kasia: 

Kasia Derbiszewska, pronounced Kah-shah, is an internationally recognized expert in UDL and owner of Learning Key Educational Consulting, an organization dedicated to translating educational research into action-oriented strategies. She is also coauthor of Supercharge Your Professional Learning. She works with businesses and organizations to design effective online curriculum that supports all learners. Her work also includes implementing UDL in the health and wellness industry, therapeutic horseback riding, fitness instruction, and workforce development. She earned her EdM in Mind, Brain, and Education from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education where she also served as a project manager and researcher at the Causal Learning in a Complex World Lab.
