Makeda "Dread" Cheatom is a San Diego legend. She's the founder of the WorldBeat Cultural Center at Balboa Park. She started one of San Diego's first vegetarian restaurants, The Prophet, in the 1970s. And she's a radio DJ and concert organizer who has spent time with Radiohead, No Doubt, Shaggy, Sublime and more.
