Arduino's Kathy Giori initiated and chairs an engineering group in the prpl Foundation that helps bridge the gap between industry and community around the OpenWrt project, which is an embedded Linux distribution (popular for Wi-Fi routers but also used on the Arduino Yun and Tian platforms). Although fond of Arduino's educational benefits, she also likes to collaborate with companies who help speed the path going from Arduino prototypes to commercial products.
