THANK YOU, FATHER; THANK YOU FRIENDS!
What a year 2010 has been. It’s had ups and downs. But one constant has been God’s unchanging provision for us. He loves you passionately. He protects and provides. He comforts and confronts. He teaches and tests. But through it all, he has promised this: I will never leave you or forsake you.
When we all joined the church, we all made covenant commitments. We said we’d be faithful to Christ and his church through our Prayers, Presence, Gifts, Service, and Witness. At the turn of the year, let me invite you to look back and evaluate in each of these areas. And as the new year draws near, do two things: (1) Finish well and (2) start well.
For my part, I say thanks to God for the privilege of serving here at First UMC. And I say thanks to you for your faithfulness in walking with Christ and for the joy of sharing the journey with you.
