Drawing on her own tragic family experiences Sandra hopes that the book will help teenagers navigate adolescence and feel able to talk about their emotions and what's going on inside.
Studies from Emory University and University of Rochester have shown that teenagers who communicate their emotions are less likely to fall into depression and have suicidal thoughts.
