At the beginning of this talk, Reggie says that maitri is a practice in which we make room for all of the things that go on for us that we typically think are unacceptable. By developing an attitude of loving-kindness toward ourselves, concepts fall away, and we realize that there is no “self” to judge.

This talk was given at the 2016 The Body Loves retreat held at the Blazing Mountain Retreat Center in Crestone, CO. Caroline Pfohl will lead the upcoming The Body Loves retreat that begins March 25th. To learn more, please visit www.dharmaocean.org
