A new video report from Vice is tellingly titled “Making Fun of Dead Anti-vaxxers is Now Mainstream.” A tweet accompanying the report further says, “we might as well admit it: a lot of people don’t care if anti-vaxxers die anymore.” The grim report is also rather telling in regard to the mental state of the country. The mask is off, and fighting culture wars along with a pandemic has clearly destroyed the humanity of a large portion of the country. Death used to be a time for mourning and sadness. Now it’s just used as a time to take a victory lap. One has to wonder if a country this damaged can be fixed and what that fix might be.
