WOOCAST

Making Moves

Listen Later

In Worcester, Massachusetts exists a show like none other. On 97.9 FM Unity Radio, WOOCAST is the top-rated Baseball show in the 508. With insight, expert analysis, and pure entertainment to go along with breaking down each game of the week, nobody covers the Worcester Red Sox like co-host Frank Cristiano with the best radio/podcast host in the UNIVERSE Steve Cully leading the way.

After trading top prospect Niko Kavadas, Worcester is clawing their way back to make up for his lost production. Bobby Dalbac has stepped up leading the team with 15 Home Runs to go along with his 51 RBIs. Nathan Hickey has 13 HRs with 54 RBIs from behind the plate and as a DH. However, none other than the Mustache Man himself, Mickey Gasper has stepped up his play since his opportunity and was leading the team with a .401 batting average before the Boston Red Sox brought him up to the big club. I've been a Mustache Man fan from the start, he made the most of his playing time, congratulations to Mickey and his family!

After playing Lehigh Valley, Buffalo, Scranton, and Syracuse, Worcester has moved up to 5th in the standings, achieving a winning record at 22-21 and is 6 games behind Rochester to make the playoffs with 6 weeks to play.

Pitching is improving with Richard "Big Dickie" Fitts leading the team with 6 wins. Shugart, Gambrell have 4 wins while Brian Van Belle has 5 on the year. Uwasawa has also pitched better of late winning his 5th game of the season.

Chase Meidroth, Nick Sogard, Jamie Westbrook, Triston Casas and the return of Dalton Guthrie? I smell a winning streak coming! Lets go Woo SOX and make the playoffs!

WOOCAST is sponsored by Forty Second Brew Co located in Kingston, MA. They have a variety of Pilsners, Lagers, and IPA's, along with a special tasting room to go with outdoor seating. Check out their website at www.fortysecondbrewco.com
