In John's Gospel, Jesus says, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (John 14:27) But regrets from our past can lead us to feel guilty about yesterday, waste today and be afraid of tomorrow. To make peace with our past regrets, we need to repent of our past, receive God's instant, complete and eternal forgiveness for our past, offer forgiveness to those who have hurt us, learn from our past mistakes, and trust God with our future.
