So far we have been talking about striving for unity and connection when having conversations and sharing opinions - but how can we treat people as responsible for their own minds and thoughts without trying to force them to agree with us or feeling powerless against them? In this episode I introduce the concept of "making people powerful" an idea fleshed out by a former Bethel leader called Danny Silk. We talk about how often we try and make ourselves the hero or the victim in an interaction, how to recognise that this is happening and what to do about it.
