In this last of three sermon in a series of "Making Sense of", Dave puts the focus on "Justice". Why do most people view "human rights" - the right to life, freedom, and equality etc - as moral imperatives? Does secularism provide a credible foundation for these "rights"? Dave argues persuasively that these "rights" have a much stronger foundation is our Christian faith. Nevertheless Dave reminds us that the institutional church has also been guilty of "human rights" abuses (despite doing a lot of good) and concludes by posing an uncomfortable question: is a preoccupation with our own comfort making us ignorant of, or insensitive to current injustices, whether here or overseas?
