Do you know what the odds are of a college athlete going pro in their sport? 

Usually somewhere between 0.9 and 2.0%

And that's just for the people that already made it to the college level, the odds of any particular individual going pro in a sport is drastically smaller, and then the odds of becoming one of the greatest.... forget about it. 

Luckily, life is not strictly a numbers game. You can increase your odds greatly by putting in the work that it takes to get there, and having the right amount of grit, determination, dedication, and skill. 

Also, this is how it works in other industries too... not just sports. So ask yourself, do you want to be a business, or do you want to be the BEST business? Do you want to be a parent, or do you want to be the BEST parent? 

Then act like it.
