Join me on this podcast episode as I feature Dr. Jacob Abraham, a Heart Failure/ Structural Cardiologist who practiced clinical medicine for 16 years.  He decided to take the leap from clinical medicine to the Implantable Heart Failure Management industry with a  focus on developing technology for patients with heart failure. He is currently the Senior VP with Edwards Life Sciences IHFM division.  He shares his journey from growing up in a small town in the Ozarks to training at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, practicing as a heart failure specialist and then finally making his transition to industry. About the Implantable Heart Failure Management (IHFM) division with Edwards Life Sciences.

Edwards Lifesciences IHFM focuses on developing innovative solutions, such as the Cordella™ Pulmonary Artery (PA) Sensor and Heart Failure (HF) System, which enables early, targeted therapeutic intervention and remote patient monitoring for individuals with late-stage cardiovascular disease. The goal of this division's work is to improve the quality of life for patients and potentially reduce hospital admissions.
