“The Greatest Beer Run Ever” is the story of how Marine Corps veteran and merchant marine John “Chick” Donahue smuggled beers into Vietnam, just to show his buddies in combat, that his friends back home still care.

Retired Special Forces veteran Col. Hans Bush was the film’s military technical advisor and he shared how they worked to make every detail accurate. He also shared some behind the scenes stories of actors Zac Efron (John Donahue) and Russell Crowe.
