  • Love, Expectations and Reality

Love is one of the most beautiful feelings we experience, but understanding love is not always easy.

What does it really mean to love someone? Is love enough to make a relationship work, or do understanding, acceptance, effort and compatibility matter just as much?

In this episode, I reflect on love, relationships and the things life teaches us about them.

Sometimes, the most important lessons about love are the ones we learn through our own experiences.

Listen, reflect, and tell me what love means to you.

  • Respect - What kind of Person will you become?

We all want respect. But do we give respect to people, or do we give it based on their profession, money, designation and status?

Chinnappati nunchi manam vintune unnam — “Sarigga chadukokapote ila aipothavu.” Slowly, without realising it, we start associating certain professions with success and respect, while looking down upon others.

In this episode, I talk about how these ideas start from childhood, a personal incident that made me question how quickly we judge people, and a simple question we can change when we raise our children.

    Instead of only asking:

    “Peddayyaka em avutaavu?”

    Maybe we should also ask:

    “Peddayyaka elaanti person avutaavu?”

Because education, success and a good career are important.

But becoming a good human being matters too.

  • Accountability - Who’s Responsible?

Episode 2: Accountability — Who Is Responsible?

We expect citizens to follow rules. We expect people to pay their taxes, follow the law, and have civic sense.

But what happens when the people or institutions in power fail to do the same?

And what happens when the very rules and procedures created to protect the innocent and ensure justice end up delaying accountability and justice?

From examination paper leaks and government responsibility to roads that are dug up in days but take months to repair, this episode looks at what accountability really means.

But accountability doesn’t stop with governments.

We want our homes clean, our streets clean and our cities better — but are we willing to take responsibility for our own actions?

Maybe accountability isn’t just about asking “Who should be punished?”

    Maybe the better question is:

“Who is responsible, what needs to be fixed, and how do we make sure it doesn’t happen again?”

Because if we can become a little more accountable — as individuals, institutions and a society —

Maybe we can make us and India a little better.

  • Why I’m Rethinking Tipping

I always thought tipping was simple: if I liked the service, I tipped. If I didn’t, I didn’t.

But while reading The Art of Persuasion: Winning Without Intimidation by Bob Burg, I came across an interesting explanation of the word “TIP” — “to insure promptness.” Whether or not that is actually where the word came from, it made me stop and think.

What if a tip isn’t always just a reward for good service? What if, sometimes, it can be an incentive for prompt service?

And then another question came to mind: when does appreciation become expectation? When does something we choose to give become something people feel entitled to receive?

In this episode, I share why I’m rethinking the way I look at tipping, incentives, appreciation, and entitlement — and why I believe that sometimes, making a small change in the way we think or behave can make us a little better than yesterday.

Because if each of us becomes a little better, maybe together we can make India a little better too.

Can we do better? Let’s talk about it.
