A year 13 student from St Orans College in Upper Hutt has launched a campaign including an online petirion for 'legal captioning standards' on media producers. Currently much of New Zealand's video content, like news, tv shows, sporting events and movies can't be accessed by around 800,000 thousand Deaf and Hard of Hearing people. Hope Cotton is doing something about it.
