Maliea shares with me why she values speaking about her unconventional and colorful upbringing more these days, why letting go of fear and judgment of what some may think has brought her an ability to encourage others. We talk about how learning to let others offer acts of kindness and care is something she sees as a sign of growth and mutual friendship in herself. We talk education and how she had to choose later in life to learn her potential and the love she now has for learning. We talk about what being rebellious meant in her world growing up, and what she believes we need to accept in each other.
Maliea is one of the most introspective and self aware individuals I have ever met. She lives confidently and capably as a woman who values others and holds space for accountability in one of the most open and helpful ways I’ve seen. She is hospitable to her core welcoming many into the inn she runs and giving them a place to rest, explore, be spoiled by her baking abilities, and participate in conversation without fear of offense regardless of the topic.
